From what we understand, the lake is completely frozen over. The Broads have been frozen for about a week to 10 days. However, the shallow and protected areas have been frozen for quite some time. The Meredith Rotary Fishing Derby is scheduled for the weekend of January 30th. There will be lots of activity on the lake then! Remember, if you are going out on the ice, speak to someone at Fish and Game or an experienced fisherman before venturing out.
